308 GTB 'Vetroresina' by Scaglietti

The one worth waiting for.

For about two years from 1975, Scaglietti built the 308 GTB with a fibreglass body — vetroresina — before Ferrari moved to steel. Roughly seven hundred cars, appreciably lighter than everything that followed, dry-sumped, four Weber carburettors. The chassis feels more alert for it, and collectors worked that out a long time ago.

In gold, which sounds like a risk and is not. It is the colour that stops people mid-sentence.
