Roof optional. Windscreen barely there.
The Speedster is the least sensible 911 Porsche has built, which is exactly the point. A chopped screen, the double-bubble tonneau over the back, and a hood you fit reluctantly and only when you must. Weather protection was never the brief.
Champagne over black, wide in the hips, and low enough in the shoulder that it looks quick standing still.
This is a summer car and an event car — one you drive on the good days and enjoy owning on the bad ones. Ask me what it is like at six in the morning with the sun coming up over the water. I have done it, and it is the reason I bought it.
